Day 01

Cusco – Chinchero – Moray – Maras – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo – Pisac

The tour starts at 6:45 a.m. from the Super Tour Machu Picchu office at Portal Nuevo 270, Plaza Regocijo, Cusco. We will drive toward the Sacred Valley in comfortable transport, enjoying scenic views along the way. Our first stop is Chinchero, where we will explore Inca ruins, a colonial church, and observe traditional weaving techniques using natural dyes.

Next, we will visit Moray, famous for its circular agricultural terraces. We will learn how the Incas used this site for experimental farming and take time to explore and photograph the terraces. A short drive brings us to the Maras Salt Mines, where thousands of salt ponds create a striking landscape. We will walk among the ponds and learn about traditional salt harvesting while exploring local artisanal stalls.

Around 12:30 p.m., we will stop in Urubamba for a buffet lunch featuring traditional Peruvian cuisine. After lunch, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, visiting the Temple of the Sun, Inca terraces, and water channels. We will explore the fortress and understand its historical significance. The tour then proceeds to Pisac, known for its extensive terraces and panoramic views of the valley. We will take time to explore and photograph the site.
