Tour Overview
From USD 760.00 Per PersonThe Inca Trail to Machu Picchu takes 4 days with Super Tour Machu Picchu, moving through cloud forests and mountain passes on cobblestone paths built centuries ago. Distance runs 10 to 12 kilometers daily, campsites are ready each night for rest and security. Pace holds the whole way, steady but not punishing.
Tough sections get support and supervision, nobody figures it out alone. Gear and physical prep are not optional, the trail sorts that out quickly. Stages are planned so the group still has something left by the last day.
Finishes at Machu Picchu, through the Sun Gate at sunrise. We explore the citadel and main structures from there. Everything is sorted before day one so participants show up knowing what's ahead.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. and travel approximately 2 hours to kilometer 82 (Piscacucho, 2,900 m), the official starting point of the Inca Trail. After registering at the checkpoint, we will cross the Urubamba River and enter the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Today's hike is relatively flat and will allow you to acclimatize to the altitude and terrain. We will walk surrounded by Andean landscapes, with snow-capped peaks, lush vegetation, and the sound of the river. We will pass by the archaeological site of Llactapata (2,700 m), one of the first Inca structures we will see on the trail.
We will gradually ascend to the Wayllabamba campsite (3,000 m), where we will rest and prepare for the following day. The surroundings allow us to relax and enjoy the tranquility while we acclimatize to the hike.
