The Sacred Valley And Machu Picchu tour will reveal the cultural heart of the Andes. This journey will combine history, landscapes, and living traditions from Cusco. The 2 days tour Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu From Cusco will offer a complete and organized experience. Every moment will connect us with the legacy of the Inca civilization.

The first day moves through the Sacred Valley, surrounded by mountains and fertile lands. Visits to Pisac and Ollantaytambo will showcase terraces, temples, and ancient urban planning. Local towns will present colorful traditions and authentic Andean culture. The journey will continue by train to Aguas Calientes during the afternoon.

 

Machu Picchu will provide the chance to explore one of the world’s most iconic sites. A guided visit will reveal temples, plazas, and agricultural terraces. The morning will become early enough with pickup between 6:30 A.M. to 7: 00 A.M. We are going to leave Cusco and drive approximately 45 minutes to Chinchero. This Andean town is very high with an elevation of 3,760 m. We are going to visit Inca ruins and a church of the colonial period with our guide.

Chinchero will become something real and rich with the local culture. Artisans will demonstrate the way they make textiles by using natural dyes. The road will go to Moray via open mountainous landscape. Moray will astonish us with its terraces which are circular at the level of 3 500 m.

Such terraces will demonstrate the experimentation that the Incas carried out with crops in other climates. We shall get a chance to have a stroll and capture photographs. The Maras salt mines will be reached by a 45 minute trip. Salt pools will be spread upon the hillside over thousands of them.

Lunch will be taken at around 1:00 P.M at Urubamba. The buffet will have a wide variety of choices including vegetarian choices. Ollantaytambo will be our destination after lunch after a 30 minutes drive. Afterwards we will take the train an hour or two later (3:30 P. M. or 4:30 P.M.) to Aguas Calientes.

The day will begin at an extremely early time, having breakfast at around 5:00 A.M. At 5:30 A.M. We‘ll take the bus towards Machu Picchu. It will start the ride of up to 25 minutes along a winding road. We will arrive at 6:00 A. M. to commence our visit.

The initial views will be offered by the upper portion of the site. The light of the morning will show us Machu Picchu and the mountains surrounding it. We shall get time to take pictures, and have fun. It will then be guided to tour the major areas.

The tour guide will describe temples, terraces and living there in the Inca city. The tour will take approximately 2:30 hrs. After that, we will have a short time to explore on our own. A visit to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain might be optional.

In 25 minutes we shall ride the bus again back to Aguas Calientes. The leisure will be used to have lunch or a walk to town. The train will start writing towards 2:30 P.M. or 3:20 P.M. The last 2-hour ride will take us back to Cusco at around 6.30 P. M.
