Explore the Manu National Park Tour and Super Tour machu picchu and explore one of the most diverse places on the planet. We are going to enter the Amazon through the varying scenery of Cusco. This Cusco to Manu National Park Tour will combine adventure, nature, and cultural discovery. It will be a direct and real contact with the rainforest.

We will visit in depth regions of the Manu national park which is considered to be a world natural sanctuary. The road will be through cloud forests, rivers and thick tropical jungle. Hiking tours and boat tours will allow us to watch wildlife in the wild. Each day there will be new colorful and living ecosystems.

 

On our trip we will encounter monkeys, birds, reptiles and exclusive species of plants. Guides will tell us about medicinal plants and Amazonia ecosystems. This Manu National Park Tour 4D/3N will begin at 5:30 A.M. to 6:00 A. M. within Cusco. The journey will take us through Andean canals to the Amazon basin. At 3,750 m we will observe Ninamarca Chullpas. These towers will unveil ancient traditions and cultural history of funerals.

The road will take us to Paucartambo where we will visit the colonial streets. Then we will enter Acjanaco Pass, 4, 000 m at the entrance of Manu National Park. Here we will leave off down into the cloud forest ecosystem. Sightseeing will be conducted using short walks to observe orchids, ferns, and tropical vegetation.

We will search for wildlife like the Andean cock-of-the-rock and other colorful birds. In the afternoon we shall reach Pilcopata at 550 m. We will be staying in a jungle lodge in individual rooms and hot showers. Dinner will be served, followed by rest surrounded by forest sounds.

The day's tour starts after breakfast by 45 mins driving to the Atalaya Port that is at 490 m. We are going to ride on a motorized boat and go along the river Alto Madre de Dios. We will see birds, monkeys and wildlife in the riverside during the ride. The jungle landscape shall get thicker with more movement inwards.

We shall reach the Paititi Lodge and take our places in comfortable rooms in the jungle. At the lodge, a new lunch will be dealt with. The afternoon will be spent visiting Machuwasi Lake in a traditional raft. Close observation of hoatzins, reptiles and insects will be possible in this serene setting.

We shall also search capybaras and caimans around the lakesides. We may also take an optional night walk in the forest after sunset. This exercise will expose insects and amphibians at night. Overnight and dinner will be served at Paititi Lodge.

We will wake up around 5:00 A.M. for a boat ride to the parrot clay lick. The ride will take about 45 minutes along the river. We will observe several parrot species feeding on mineral-rich clay. This will be a natural phenomenon that will provide colorful scenes and sounds.

On coming back we shall take breakfast at the lodge. Later we will walk through some trails within the primary forest to Cocha Maravilla. It will have a viewing area where we can view the birds, monkeys and reptiles. The jungle that surrounds it will be thick and rich.

At noon we shall go back to the lodge to lunch and rest. One more optional night walk will offer the possibility to observe wildlife even more. Insects, frogs, and others of the night species will be examined. The overnight stay and dinner shall be situated in the lodge.

We will start this Manu National Park Tour with breakfast after which we will start the back journey. To Atalaya Port we will go on a boat journey out of the lodge. The river ride will have the dying glimpses of jungles and animals. The next step is going by private transport to the Andes.

This path will go through Pilcopata and cloud forest again. At 4,000 m we will cross Acjanaco Pass again. The landscape will be transformed to high mountain scenery rather than the tropical forest. And we are going to savor the last scenery of the Manu region.

Between 6:30 P.M to 7:00 P.M we will be back in Cusco. The tour of the day will be memorable in the Amazon. The vacation will be a blend of nature and wildlife as well as cultural visit.
