Tour Overview

The Classic Sacred Valley Tour establishes a comfortable and easy method of sightseeing at the Valley of the Incas within a day. We will begin the day with panoramic mountain sceneries and fresh air of Andes that makes the day peaceful. In each instance, the landscape is offered as a tour of the Sacred Valley Peru that boasts of powerful sceneries and genuine local culture.

We will see significant ruins of the Inca and we will also be walking in places influenced by ancient architecture and agriculture. One will have a relaxed time with a knowledgeable tour guide who describes the various archaeological sites in simple terms and manner. The colorful Pisac Market and the silence of the landscapes around Urubamba River will also be part of the route. The day will be formed in a natural way by the local culture, good energy and open spaces.

Later on in the afternoon we will have a buffet lunch and proceed to more traditional Sacred Valley perspectives. The last days are characterized by easy roads, scenic mountainous landscapes and a clear cutting end before going back to Cusco. This traditional Sacred Valley tour is something that remains in the minds of the travelers who have a love affair with history, open spaces and a guided tour that is free and good. It is still one of the most suggested paths to be taken by those who tour Peru.

We will mose around in Cusco in the early morning at 3,399 meters as the sun rises into the Andes. The guide will ensure that they all are equipped with ID and part tourist ticket. The most interesting part will be the drive to Pisac, which is 34 kilometers away, displaying terraces, rivers, and the beautiful Sacred Valley Peru Tour landscape.

We visit the archeological site of Pisac with the legacy of its terraces, temples, and stonework. The guide will narrate tales of the Inca form of farming, and ingenious water-systems. Then we go through the Pisac market with its colorful textiles, ceramics and handmade jewelry. A stroll through the ruins and market provides an actual experience of what it was like to live in the valley of the Incas.

Then we go to Ollantaytambo where we climb up the terraces until we reach the Temple of the Sun. Inca engineering, military strategy, and religious history all can be seen in one place in the site. The perspective of the top is magnificent, with mountains and terraces extending to the farthest similar to what the eye can see. The place comes to life as told by our guide.

We take lunch at Urubamba (2,870 meters) where we have an easy buffet of both local potatoes, quinoa, corn and more. The Urubamba River passes by and gives the break a relaxing atmosphere. This is a rest stop where one can have time to explore and relax in the valley and then proceed with the tour.

We visit Chinchero (3,762 meters) after lunch. The colonial church is located on the Inca foundations, and it is a blend of cultures with time. The strolls in the plaza and the streets provide minimal details of the typical Andean life. We will capture pictures, sightsee, and take the high altitude scenery and get back to Cusco.

During the ride back, we will be able to reflect on the entire day of incredible sceneries, ancient ruins, and the local culture. The Classic Sacred Valley Tour makes the valley of the Incas live.
