Tour Overview
Inca trail to Machu Picchu 4D/3N will explore the ancient paths, forest and Andean scenery. We will walk over terraces, stone trails and archaeological sites. The inca trail to Machu Picchu (an adventure) and history and beautiful vistas are all part of each day doing the famous Inca trail.
Through the hike, we will visit a few inca sites and this will involve some knowledge on the local culture and methods of ancient constructions. The path will be bordered with green trees, rivers and diverse wildlife. We will be camping in scenic camp sites where we are going to have our traditional meals and relax in the serene nature.
The higher we scale the more we will have wonderful sights of Machu Picchu Mountain and other valleys.. The path will test our endurance but will be compensated by the breathtaking views. We will have frequent photo and short-breaks to enjoy the landscape.
The last morning, we are going to reach the Sun Gate where Machu Picchu is going to be seen below. Guided tour will be done to terraces, temples, and the citadel. It will end in Aguas Calientes where we shall indulge ourselves in local markets and rest before coming back.

Sunrise brushes the roof just as our ride begins at six, heading out from your Cusco hotel by private car toward Ollantaytambo. Roads curve through the Sacred Valley where hills stretch wide beneath pale, endless sky.. Past fields where farmers bend close to the soil, hands moving among rows of growing things. Small villages appear like moments from another time, tucked between hillsides.
From Ollantaytambo, the train takes us toward Kilometer 82 - this spot marks where the real Inca Trail begins. After clearing security, walking picks up pace on the way to Miskay campsite.Cusco to Km 82 – Wayllabamba
We are departing at 6:00 A.M. at your hotel at Cusco by a private car to Ollantaytambo. It is a road across the Sacred Valley that contains beautiful sceneries of the Andean. We shall go over small villages and local farmers tending to their crops.
We will board the train at Ollantaytambo and the Kilometer 82 that is regarded as the entrance to the Inca trail. On passing our security checkpoint, we will start our walk to the Miskay campsite. The former one provides easy trails, rivers, and beautiful mountainous landscapes.
Miskay lunch Onwards to the ruins of the Inca Inca Patallaqta. The old buildings give one an impression of Inca architecture and culture. We shall keep on hiking to Wayllabamba town where we shall pass by highland valleys and streams.
In the late afternoon we shall arrive at the Wayllabamba campsite. Tents will be pitched and dinner made by our guides. The night will give time to rest and acclimatization of the tough days to come.
Day 1 Statistics:

Our day will begin at an early time of about 5:30 A.M. with a hot breakfast taken in the campsite. The most difficult part of the trail is our hike this day. We will climb up to the summit of Warmi Wañusqa which is 4,200 meters above sea level.
Hiking is done on rocky and very steep stairs, but the Andes are amazing to see. We will make regular breaks to have a rest, water and take photos. Wild animals such as hummingbirds and orchids will be found on the path.
Upon reaching the top, we will go down to Pacaymayo camp site. The road is crossed by forests, streams and minor Inca terraces. Dining will be done at the camp site and then a brief rest and relaxation will follow.
During the afternoon we shall visit local Inca ruins to learn about culture. Back to the camp-site we will have a good supper. It will be a cool and quiet night, which will be good to have a rest in the next day.
Day 2 Statistics:

- Peak Elevation: 4200m above sea level.
- Minimum Elevation: 3,600 above sea level.
- Path: Wayllabamba to Warmi Wañusqa to pacaymayo.
- Difficulty: Demanding
We shall take breakfast early and make our day-packs up ready to proceed to-day. This expedition climbs a little to the Runcuracay Pass, 3,950 meters. This is where we shall make our descent to Sayacmarca Inca ruins where we shall see its terraces and temples.
Having seen Sayacmarca we are going to Phuyupatamarka. The location has beautiful sceneries of the mountains and cloud forest. We will have lunch here and have a view of the beautiful scenery.
The track leads to Intipata terraces, where the ancient methods of farming are still observed. We shall pass through green forest trails, colorful orchids, birds, and rivers on the way.
In the late afternoon we will arrive at Wiñay Wayna. Our camp is close to the ruins, so that they can be explored before dinner. These great Inca buildings will be elucidated by guides on their historic meaning.
Day 3 Statistics:

- Elevated Area: 3,950 meters above sea level
- Difficulty: Demanding
We will rise early at 5:30 A.M. to have breakfast and begin our hike to Inti Punku which is the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu. The expedition offers stunning scenery of Machu Picchu that is seen below the mountains.
On arrival to the Sun Gate, we will be allowed to enter the citadel using our Machu Picchu tickets which were reserved in advance. It will cover the Main Temple, Temple of the Sun and the Temple of the Three Windows as explained by our guide. The visit to the site will last 2-2.5 hours.
The guided tour will be followed by a personal time to take photos and enjoy the scenery of the surrounding. Woody mountains and river Urubamba are to be remembered.
Lunch will be had in the town of Aguas Calientes by bus and train taken back to Ollantaytambo. The tour will end with a visit back to Cusco, on a personal vehicle, and we will reach the city at approximately 10:00 P. M. that is after the 4-day adventure.

- Topographic feature: This is a volcano with an elevation of 2,720 meters above sea level.
- Minimal Altitude: 2,040 meters above sea level.
